Global Metasystems has grown out of the Lewis Works framework and particularly the Lewis Metasystems subystem, and it represents a logical and functional extension of this latter subsystem based upon the design implementation of alternative systems applications.

Global Metasystems follows the lines of the natural stratification of real systems, and is divided between physical, biological and human metasystems framework. At the same time, this framework is functionally organized for purposes of design implementation, research and design development.

The basis of Global Metasystems is the eventual realization of a real world framework that is integrated as a metasystem and that serves as the design basis for alternative development. Such a framework is global in scope and local in purposes. It would in principle and in practice become supplementary to existing systems framework, and eventually, would become integrated with preexisting frameworks in a symbiotic manner.

The value of such a framework in the world would be to broaden the horizon of human adaptation and to provide people a larger range of alternatives for adaptation than they would otherwise achieve through established frameworks.

Global MetaSystems is a main subsystem of the Lewis Works Metasystem framework. The principle function and interest of Global Meta-systems is the teleological extension of actual metasystem frameworks in larger, real world contexts, and providing the working, hands on structures and resources necessary to achieve such articulatory extension. It encompasses the business and production frameworks necessary for the articulation of actual working systems, as well as the related resources and social organizational frameworks. These include operational and management frameworks as well as related security frameworks.

Global Meta-Systems seeks to undertake real time projects and programs aimed at the extension of metasystem frameworks under the control and guise of Lewis Works or any of Lewis Works departments. Global Meta-Systems thus serves an important role within Lewis Works in support and development of the various departments and subdivisions.
